Accounts Payable Clerk

Silverhill Hospital, a reputable healthcare provider in the industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. As the Accounts Payable Clerk at Silverhill Hospital, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording all accounts payable transactions, ensuring that all vendors are paid in a timely manner and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy
• Process all accounts payable transactions promptly and accurately
• Match invoices to purchase orders and reconcile discrepancies
• Ensure proper approval and coding of invoices
• Prepare and process electronic payments and checks
• Monitor accounts payable aging and follow up on delinquent payments
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files and documentation
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
• Collaborate with other finance team members to improve processes and implement best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles and best practices
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred, but not required
