SciTec has immediate opportunities for experienced Staff/Senior Staff DevOps engineers.

SciTec has immediate opportunities for experienced Staff/Senior Staff DevOps engineers to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business that provides core capabilities for National Security and Defense.

Responsibilities

·         Work with deployment teams to orchestrate deployments to development, test, and operational environments.

·         Integrate CI pipelines with development tools for artifact management, software test, software quality assessment, etc.

·         Execute automated or manual deployments of applications into orchestrated k8s environments

·         Execute checkout and troubleshooting of deployed applications within development and production environments

·         Execute software release processes including release branch creation, integration, checkout and test

·         Implement and maintain helm charts

·         Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Requirements

·         At least three years of professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) such as GitLab-ci and Jenkins

·         Experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.

·         Experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test and production

·         At least one year professional experience using python3

·         At least one year professional experience using Linux operating systems

·         A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences

·         The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

·         Detail oriented, good verbal and written communication skills

·         Ability to work 100% on-site

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:

·         Experience with software docker or package artifact management using JFrog Artifactory, Nexus or similar

·         Development experience in python, C++ or JavaScript Experience with any of the following: conan package manager, gcc/clang

·         Experience with Redhat Openshift version 4

·         Experience with version control using git

The pay range for this position is $96,000- $140,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
