General Summary
As Senior Copywriter, you will be responsible for writing persuasive marketing copy across all marketing channels that attracts, engages, and delights customers. You are a versatile writer with the ability to create copy and messaging for multiple customer types and life cycles.
You will collaborate with marketing team leads and other stakeholders to deliver effective campaign narratives, product and feature value propositions, and our overall brand message to current and prospective customers.

You will sit directly with the Product Marketing team, work in close collaboration with the Brand, Acquisition, and Lifecycle Marketing teams, and report to the Director, Content & Communications.
Core Functions
- Create compelling and imaginative campaign copy across various marketing channels, including web, email, in-app messaging, online advertising and social media.
- Engage and captivate target audiences with exceptional product and brand storytelling.
- Collaborate with marketing leads to bring key narratives of campaigns to life through persuasive copy.
- Collaborate with the Creative team to ensure copy works in harmony with design for a cohesive and visually appealing presentation that aligns with our marketing strategy and brand guidelines.
- Use your expertise to craft clean, sharp and useful copy for new products and features.
- Seamlessly implement brand voice in every piece of copy you produce and adjust tone accordingly based on the project and goal.
- Use SEO best practices when creating copy optimized for search.
- Self-edit copywriting for product, lifecycle and acquisition marketing campaigns.
- Assist with copywriting duties of long-form content initiatives, as needed.
- Occasionally assist with editing of major editorial projects, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in an agency or marketing environment.
- Proven portfolio of successful copywriting projects and campaigns.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation and syntax.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Proficiency in understanding and adhering to brand tone and voice guidelines.
- Deep understanding of SEO and digital marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with industry-specific trends and best practices.
- Positive attitude and customer oriented.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or communications preferred.
- Experience in performance sports.
- Experience using TrainingPeaks’ products and services.
- Servant leader approach with focus on needs of team and customer.

Compensation
Peaksware/TrainingPeaks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $68,550 - $114,250. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
