Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Integration Engineer to join our IT Solutions team. As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions to address critical business challenges by integrating data across various systems and applications. Our diverse portfolio includes SFDC, Hubspot, Oracle JD Edwards, Lenel, FNT, ALC, RFCode and other platforms utilized by our employees and customers. As a subject matter expert, you will provide technical guidance on software implementation projects, evaluate technical and functional requirements, and develop solutions following standard methodologies for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid integration, as well as API management.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions to enable seamless communication between different systems and applications (e.g., Salesforce, MuleSoft, ActiveMQ, GRS and the JDE orchestrator).
  • Support enhancements and recurring software updates within JDE.
  • Select methods and procedures to ensure API best practices are used.
  • Respond to incidents and performance tuning requests.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for services, solutions, and interfaces.
  • Implement and optimize data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into centralized data repositories.
  • Develop APIs to expose data and functionality to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data integration processes, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data integration and API development and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to manage and complete routine administrative tasks such as server and API restarts, and deployments.
  • Familiarity with Firewall whitelisting and configuration.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and propose solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership.
  • Willingness to learn from mistakes and accept constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP APIs, and other web services protocols.
  • Strong leadership abilities, including knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, and facilitating open discussions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to various audiences and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and API development.
  • Proficiency and 5+ years experience with:
  • JD Edwards
  • Programming languages such as C++, SQL, JavaScript, Groovy, Python, Java.
  • Load Balancer configuration and maintenance, both for cloud and on-premises setups.
  • MuleSoft infrastructure administration for both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Data integration tools and platforms such as Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, or Talend.
  • Automation
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience working in various development frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Waterfall, Iterative, Kanban).

Compensation:

Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $$120,000 and 150,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
