Full Job Description

Ombraz Armless Sunglasses is launching a retail pop-up shop in Boulder, CO April 1 - June 30, 2025. We’re looking for two adept Ombraz superfans to staff the shop and bestow their armless knowledge and enthusiasm onto shop visitors & passersby. 

Title: Retail Associate

Type: Seasonal 

Hours: 40 hrs/week, non-exempt. Must be available at least one weekend day

Wage: $25/hr + 5% commission on sales*

Reports to: Founder

Start Date: March 25, 2025 

End Date: June 30, 2025

Requirements

  • 3+ years of retail experience - outdoor industry preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in sales
  • Live in Boulder, CO
  • Be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Attend virtual & in-person training prior to start of the pop-up
  • You LOVE people & networking
  • You are an Ombraz superfan
  • You are an organized clean freak
  • You are detail-oriented

Daily responsibilities

  • Shop & Inventory Management
    • Maintain a clean & welcoming space for Ombraz customers
    • Merchandise products and maintain organized displays
    • Restock shelves promptly
    • Maintain an organized & transparent backstock catalog, reorder products as needed
    • Monitor theft & communicate issues immediately
    • Ensure lenses on all Ombraz are clean & smudge-free throughout the day
    • Ensure cords & frames are properly merchandized 
    • Sweep twice, daily
    • Wipe all surfaces twice, daily
    • Wipe all glass & mirrors twice daily
  • Customer Experience
    • Brand representation & knowledge
      • Welcome all customers into the store and proactively offer assistance.
      • Offer a high-touch customer experience: Communicate the Ombraz story and suggest products based on customer needs.
      • Embody Ombraz brand values and represent the brand.
      • Always have a pair of Ombraz on or around your neck.
      • Dress for the occasion, don’t look like a scrub.
      • Be approachable and helpful without being overbearing.
      • Collect customer feedback and implement improvements. 
    • Product knowledge & education
      • Thorough understanding of the product anatomy & ability to communicate it.
      • Provide useful information & recommendations based on what people need.
      • Proactively Communicate and demonstrate how-to wear instructions smoothly & accurately.
      • Communicate tips & tricks smoothly & accurately.
      • Understand Ombraz key niches & relevant product information.
  • Operations
    • Conduct sales
      • Operate POS system and perform basic troubleshooting.
      • Take customer payments, handle returns.
      • Perform daily opening and closing duties.
  • Marketing
    • Assist with planning & executing marketing activations at the shop.
