As a Quality Controller at Prescott's, Inc, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations. By conducting thorough inspections and tests, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, guidelines, and standards for incoming materials, production processes, and finished products.
  • Monitor FDA medical device recalls from the OEM, store records and inform teams. Develop training to incorporate recall repairs.
  • Review OEM specifications and repair processes to develop QC sheets that reflect best practices.
  • Work with technicians to compile lessons learned and refine QC per individual parts.
  • Perform QC on parts, SRAs, and full microscopes.
  • Work with the mechanical engineers to improve ISO quality procedures and related documentation.
  • Perform warranty investigation and root cause analysis to improve warranty rate.
  • Look for solutions to reduce COPQ annually.
  • Conduct inspections and tests at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Identify and communicate quality issues, recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform quality audits to assess compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to production teams to ensure understanding and adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Maintain quality records and documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a quality control role within the medical device industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices, as well as relevant regulatory requirements and standards (such as ISO 13485).
  • Experience with quality control tools and techniques, such as statistical process control, root cause analysis, and failure mode and effect analysis.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other quality management software.

Salary: $60k to $65k annually
