We are seeking a motivated Project Manager / Scrum Master to join our dynamic and growing IT team. In this dual role, you will lead Agile ceremonies while overseeing project timelines and deliverables across all stages of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC), applying Agile, Iterative, or Waterfall frameworks as appropriate. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments, brings a strong background in technology-driven projects, and excels in leadership and communication. You will guide teams to balance multiple goals and deadlines while keeping broader objectives in focus. This role involves close collaboration across departments to deliver projects of varying scope, risk, and complexity efficiently.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee software delivery projects through all SDLC stages, leveraging project management expertise to align processes with Agile, Iterative, or Waterfall frameworks, and adapt strategies as needed to meet project objectives.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment with all stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, and cross-departmental teams, to facilitate seamless project delivery.
- Guide and coach teams to align with project goals and agile practices, managing multiple priorities while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives and effective risk management.
- Develop and execute strategies that enhance project delivery, improve team velocity and product quality, and advance organizational objectives by optimizing project delivery tools and processes, including tools like Jira.
- Actively manage resource allocation, ensuring that project teams have the necessary skills, tools, and capacity to meet project demands.
- Proactively manage risks and issues with effective mitigation strategies, to improve project outcomes and team performance.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate internal and external dependencies, actively removing blockers to enhance team delivery effectiveness.
- Assist with project intake and governance activities, including ROI calculations and benefits realization.
Other Duties:
- Collaborate with leadership to monitor priorities, direction, and scope for the IT Roadmap.
- Lead and/or support RFP activities for new tool acquisition.
- Assist in conducting system, compliance, and process effectiveness audits, ensuring that project practices and team execution align with organizational and compliance standards.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery update activities.
- Ensure project documentation is current, accessible, and well-maintained.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment that consists of at least two onsite days in downtown Denver office per week including Tuesdays and Wednesdays for in-person team collaboration
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage at both technical and business levels.
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in various project delivery tools like Jira, Confluence, and Rally.
- Adept at navigating ambiguity and connecting the dots to drive informed decisions.
- Ability to guide teams in adopting new technologies and processes.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, tools, and technologies (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, cloud platforms) and how they enable efficient delivery of solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) for managing large and complex projects, desired.
- Strong conflict resolution and stakeholder management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Critical thinking, analysis, and process improvement skills to drive continuous improvement in software delivery.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, project/program management, or a related field preferred.
- At least 4-6 years of experience in project management, including 3+ years leading technology projects and 2+ years supporting IT systems implementations.
- Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) packages (e.g., Salesforce, MuleSoft) is a preferred.
- PMP and/or CSM certification strongly preferred, with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

Compensation:
Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $90,000 and 115,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
