Overview 

 

This role is responsible for planning and overseeing the successful delivery of multiple projects and programs’ deliverables and overall results for the internet deployment group, launch and enhancement projects. Responsible for establishing and maintaining relevant program/project management strategy, documentation, reports, systems and discipline to standardize and optimize processes. This is a hybrid position requiring some on-site days in Denver, CO office and some remote days. This position requires residency in the Denver metro area and doesn't support visa sponsorship or C2C.

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

 

·       Prepare and submit Project Intake process and partner with stakeholders to identify appropriate resources to project(s)

·       Collaborates closely with Internet Deployment Team Management and Project SMEs in the creation of project business and functional requirements, in an Agile format

·       Ability to create, manage, and own end to end project plans, encompassing the following phases of the project development lifecycle: Budget & Planning, Initiation, Design, Build, Test & Launch

·       Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets

·       May coordinate with multiple project managers to assemble overall program plan

·       Leads execution of billing, marketing, sales engineering, sales operations/support, as well as order, field and security operations, learning and development (L&D), and legal/regulatory requirements

·       Collaborates with team leadership and other Exec stakeholders

·       Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop plans for mitigating risks identified along the product development lifecycle

·       Leads coordination of design, planning, and execution of prioritized project efforts and their deployment

·       Prepares post-launch hand-off to Quality Assurance team to support and monitor success

·       Hands-on program/project management through the program life cycle utilizing PMI, PMP methodology

·       Integrate business policies and governance processes into planning & accountability for project roadmaps and strategy

·       Establish risk management, escalation paths, and take corrective measurements

·       Build and manage Program business case and budget

·       Facilitate and lead project meetings and manage stakeholders’ communication

·       Identify program KPIs to assess impact

·       Coordinate, manage and monitor the workflow of cross-functional teams

·       Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables.

·       Align deliverables (outputs) to the program/project workstream’s “outcome”

·       Own overall integrated project plan and manage cross-functional resources, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and achievement of business goal

·       Consistently exercise informed judgment and discretion in matters of significance 

 

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience 

Candidates must have strong practical experience in program and/or project management, which was gained through managing large and complex project development and launch programs. Candidates must have the following:

·       Minimum of 5 years strong program/project management experience supporting end to end Development and Launch, managing multiple workstreams such as billing, engineering, sales operations/support, order operations, field operations, security operations, learning and development (L&D), and legal/regulatory requirements

·       Experience working in the following areas is highly desired: Internet, Telecommunications, Networking, Satellite, WiFi, Wireless, Mobile, or Broadband.

·       Consulting Experience is helpful

·       Proven knowledge of project and program management methodology

·       Experience with resource allocation procedures, budgeting and business case development

·       Excellent oral and written communications skills with stakeholders including the ability to influence, strategize and negotiate with all levels of management

·       Ability to think analytically and process information quickly in a succinct and insightful format

 

 

Qualifications/Technical Skill Requirements

·       Minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience

  • Experience in Telecommunications industry is preferred

·       Management or Business Consultant experience is helpful

·       Experience working with PMO stakeholders in billing, engineering, sales operations/support, order operations, field operations, security operations, learning and development (L&D), and legal/regulatory requirements

·       Strong analytical and documentation skills are desired

·       Hands-on proficiency with SmartSheet, Excel, JIRA, and PowerPoint skills desired

 

Education/Certifications

·       Bachelor’s degree required – Engineering, Computer Science or Business preferred

·       Project Management certification or course work preferred

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement, with an expected salary range between $95-130k. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
