Prescott's, Inc, a leading medical device company specializing in the distribution and refurbishment of surgical microscopes, is looking for a motivated Microscope Technician to join our growing team. Our commitment to providing top-quality products and exceptional service to healthcare professionals positions us as a trusted partner in improving patient outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales Department in their preparation of finished Surgical Microscope Devices to end users. Your expertise will be vital in the refurbishment of these devices, ensuring functionality, efficacy, and attention to quality control. Your keen attention to detail and work ethic will contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Identification of surgical microscope systems and parts.
- Diagnosis of mechanical, electronic & optical issues with surgical microscopes, optical components and accessories.
- Repair of surgical microscope components.
- Refurbishment of surgical microscope components, including;
- Cleaning
- Repair
- Preparation for painting (Cleaning, masking)
- Painting
- De-prepping
- Preparation for quality control
- Assistance with the receiving of surgical microscopes, and components.
- Cataloging, and organizing of inbound surgical microscope inventory.
- Assistance with the packing up of surgical microscopes, and components.
- Preparation of Table Top / Wet Lab microscopes.
- Assistance with Trade Show preparation.
- Working with the Service & Inventory departments in terms of inventory control of accessories.
- General assistance with production area organization and cleanliness.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can work in a team environment. This position involves the repair and refurbishment of surgical microscope components and full systems, such as binoculars, beam splitters, assistant tubes, and various other optical microscope components.

- 0-1+ years of work related experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous mechanical experience is a plus
- Good communication
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are very important
- Good vision is a necessity
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday, forty hours per week. Or Flex Schedule available
- Candidate must have adequate transportation and be able to commute in winter weather conditions
- Candidate must be able to lift 60lbs+
- Candidate must be able to pass a drug test and background check
Pay: $22.00 per hour
