Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Therapist to join our team. As an Outpatient Therapist, you will work with individuals and families to provide therapeutic services aimed at addressing mental health concerns and promoting overall well-being. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, strengths, and challenges.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and therapeutic objectives.
  3. Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to clients, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques.
  4. Collaborate with clients to set realistic goals and monitor progress towards achieving them.
  5. Offer support and guidance to clients in developing coping strategies and improving problem-solving skills.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  7. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive and integrated services for clients.
  8. Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards governing the practice of therapy, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting clients' autonomy.
  10. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, fostering collaboration and teamwork among colleagues

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a therapist (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in the state of Colorado.
  • Strong clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic alliances with clients.
  • Proficiency in using fundamental computer skills and computer software for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
  • Adept problem solving in a professional capacity.

  • Preferred

  1. Two years of experience, post independent licensure, in a mental health or out-patient therapist role.
