SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented IT Project Manager to join our IT team in Boulder, CO. Successful applicants will have demonstrated experience leading IT projects to achieve organizational goals on budget and on schedule, a strong collaborative spirit, experience working with high-functioning project technical teams, and a clear focus on supporting customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for every aspect of the project, including leading a team capable of meeting or exceeding client expectations for their vision
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external clients to define project outcomes, deliverables, benefits, costs, and schedule
  • Set and manage client expectations, develop a detailed project plan, define the scope of the project, understand project risks, and assign team members to specific tasks
  • Provide team guidance, training, and coaching
  • Develop and maintain open communication, form working relationships and motivate stakeholders and team members
  • Monitor project progress and set deadlines
  • Anticipate delays that may occur on the client side and apprise the team of any changes in the client’s needs
  • Adapt and problem solve based on changing circumstances in order to achieve updated project objectives
  • Estimate costs and manage within cost authorizations
  • Communicate accurate cost information including burn rate, cost to completion and cost under or over runs
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive stakeholder communication that addresses scope, cost, schedule, and risks to the project
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that could impact the project's outcomes
  • Oversee all project documentation, including contract and process documentation 
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards
  • Drive continuous project execution improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science and 7+ years of experience performing relevant IT project management in midsize or large organizations
  • Demonstrate experience managing IT projects that deliver IT platforms that are scalable, performant and secure and cost effective
  • Demonstrated experience defining and maintaining project documentation standards and artifacts including budgets, schedules, specifications, and contracts
  • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings including project planning, sprint planning, and sprint and scrum meetings. 
  • Ability to lead customer engagements to defining requirements and releases

·         Ability to define product rollout strategy and communications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

 

Candidates with meeting the following criteria will be preferred:

  • Professional certifications demonstrating Project Management competencies (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CCNA, Scrum/Agile)
  • An active DoD security clearance

The pay range for this position is $114,700- $152,800 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
