The IT Director is responsible for all company technology including hardware, software, and telecommunications along with the application of those items to support and enhance business operations and processes. This role ensures that the appropriate technology and infrastructure is available to support the achievement of both short and long-term company business goals and objectives. The IT Director develops strategic plans and risk management strategies to support the installation of technology products that reduce costs and/or enhance business performance. This position allocates sufficient resources and manages in-house Information Technology staff, so that information systems are designed, built, and operated in a manner that is secure, reliable, manageable, and consistent with the organization’s business objectives including meeting SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliance needs.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain all Information Technology policies and standard operating procedures.
- Develop new information systems architectures, strategies, and processes that are intended to advance business objectives.
- Establish the ideal security and governance practices that align with the organization's objectives (including creating security policies to minimize potential threats and vulnerabilities.)
- Create a risk-managed information security framework for scalable business operations.
- Work directly with the business units to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes
- Provide substantial input in the design, implementation, and approval of a company's security strategy.
- Coordinate and audit compliance and certification requirements from an IT perspective.
- Oversee the operation and use of systems and communications services (i.e., data, voice, and video equipment, copy and fax machines, phone and messaging systems)
- Evaluate user department business requirements and create practical application solutions to achieve those requirements.
- Provide technical support consulting services to users and user department managers to allow them to achieve business goals, while at the same time ensuring that the envisioned system is adequately secure, reliable, manageable, and supportable.
- Automate configuration of servers, laptops, productivity software, and business systems
- Handle configuration of telecommunication needs including, but not limited to: video conferencing, Wi-Fi, and peripherals to ensure a quality user experience
- Develop, test, deploy and support application programs using a variety of tools in compliance with Information Technology approved security policies and procedures.
- Perform periodic risk assessments to determine specifically which controls are needed for business application software being developed or enhanced.
- Diligently and clearly document all application systems to facilitate future maintenance and enhancements.
- Perform application maintenance and user support requirements as necessary.
- Manage 3rd party resources and vendors effectively and efficiently
- Forecast and reconcile annual IT budget on a quarterly basis in partnership with CFO and Finance Team
- Track performance of the network environment and its remote locations
- Lead the evolution of the current IT function from a reactive to a proactive provider of end-to-end IT services
- Manage, mentor and grow the team that handles helpdesk, technical support, and office technology concerns
Experience and Skill Requirements:

- BS/BA degree in Business, Information Technology or other closely related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience planning, deploying, and supporting technology services
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Proven track record of delivering superior, cost-effective IT services to a company
- Prior team and personnel management experience; strong leadership skills a must
- System integration of different technology and computer platforms
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
- Must demonstrate immediate understanding of computer networks
- Experience managing Microsoft domains
- SOC-1 and SOC-2 information security and compliance knowledge
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Background exposure to governance
Salary ranging from 130-150k
