Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting an Environmental Technician for Commerce City, CO.

This position is full time on the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife refuge under the Navarro Environmental Remediation Services contract with the United States Army.
The primary role of this position is to provide environmental technical support for various aspects of project sampling programs. Most of the work will be conducted on-site, and travel is rare with this position. Responsibilities and duties include:
- Groundwater, surface water, soil, and air sample collection.
- Measurement of groundwater surface elevations.
- Maintenance and/or development of various sampling-related spreadsheets and databases.
- Maintenance of sampling equipment and monitoring wells.
- Duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is strongly preferred. This is a requirement to work onsite, and the training will be provided to the candidate that is selected.
- International Air Transport Association (IATA) dangerous goods training or the ability to complete within the first 90 days of employment.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions daily.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.to organize data in spreadsheets and reports.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, or other database management software is a plus but not a requirement.
- Ability to complete work safely and comply with all aspects of site health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work and achieve results in a collaborative team environment and focus strongly on customer service.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible with changes that arise.
- Ability to independently calibrate and maintain sampling instrumentation.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) would be a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to consistently lift to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work in hot/cold temperature extremes.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
$56,160 - $64,480
In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate’s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
