Full Job Description

Auria is looking to hire a Cyber Systems Administrator (Compliance/Patching) to join our Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program.  This position will be based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

Act as the primary group for testing and applying patches on all main software/application systems, including workstations and servers. Support the system by interacting continuously with the cyber and compliance team to remediate any vulnerabilities found during automated or manual cyber scans. Patching can be an impacting activity; a detail-oriented individual is necessary for this position.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor systems asset compliance via Tenable Security Center to coordinate a testing strategy for patching found vulnerabilities.
  • Administer patching solutions, such as Tanium, WSUS, and YUM.
  • Identify and work with component owners to build subset groups for patching testing prior to wide deployment of enterprise patching.
  • Coordinate with system owners to patch specific products/solutions, such as server applications, user workstations, etc.
  • Perform continuous vulnerability patching schedules based on cyber tool scan scoring and authorized schedules authorized by the appropriate board.
  • Notify the user base of upcoming patches and any projected impacts from this patching activity, such as reboots and/or introducing new features
  • Experience with writing standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation.
  • Ability to build documentation to outline a full testing strategy for functionality regression after patching workstations/servers.

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.

  • An active Top-Secret clearance is required to start with SCI and SAP clearance eligibility.
  • Working knowledge of Cybersecurity technologies, NIST standards, and RMF governance.
  • 3 years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in either Windows administrator tasks related with a Unix/Linux server platform
  • Experience with patching in an enterprise-level system
  • Experience implementing McAfee Application Change Control (MACC) Solidcore Whitelisting and Endpoint Security for Windows (ENS) and Endpoint Security (ENSL) local firewall policies and procedures within a Mission eccentric environment.
  • Experience developing, integration, and troubleshooting WSUS and RHEL Satellite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with patching solutions such as WSUS, YUM, and Tanium, integrating them into complex environments, troubleshooting development efforts
  • Testing patches using a systematic process to limit the impact on the user base
  • Familiarity with scripting Windows Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Experience with Ansible

Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($99,000 - $110,000).
