Fulbright Construction is excited to announce an opening for a Construction Expeditor. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials, equipment, and information throughout the construction process. The Construction Expeditor acts as a critical liaison between contractors, suppliers, and the project management team, facilitating communication and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. Your organizational skills will be vital in tracking orders, maintaining inventories, and ensuring that all materials arrive on site as scheduled to prevent delays. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and expedite the procurement of materials, equipment, and services needed for construction projects.
- Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Track orders and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies or delays related to material supplies.
- Prepare and submit reports on inventory and material status to project management.
- Participate in site visits to assess material needs and address any issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations regarding materials and equipment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in a construction-related role or as a logistics coordinator.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management software.
- Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards is a plus.
