The National Western Center (NWC) is a reimagined 250-acre campus in Denver, Colorado with a vision to be the global destination for food and agricultural discovery. The opportunity:
The NWC is in search of a Campus Director of Sales & Ticketing that can be ready on day one to be able to jump in on multiple fronts. This job will be enhancing, growing and managing the Sales program with oversight of the ticketing program for the Authority while aligning programs with partners on campus. Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Campus Director of Sales and Ticking will provide Strategic Sales plans, creating and fostering event relationships with partners, other appropriate venues, Visit Denver and other CMS & convention bureaus in metro area. They will implement an immediate, 3,6,9-year sales plan along with strategic planning for upcoming and future years looking for key growth and mission aligned opportunities. The Campus Director of Sales and Ticking will direct management of staff to meet sales goals, including maximizing potential sales volume. They will also have proven experience in ticketing, customer service and problem resolution.

What you will do:
Sales:
- Will lead negotiations on large contracts and support sales team on all other contracts.
- Research current market trends and landscape, analyze competitive pricing annually, communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals. Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals and report on forces that shift strategic directions plans.
- Create a strategic plan to drive revenue and execute sales initiatives to meet sales targets and segments.
- Work with key partners, contractors, and vendors to come up with package sales deals and programming.
- Cultivating a positive work environment for staff and clients and maintaining key relationships with industry contacts and partners and work on sales alignment with other key city venues and opportunities to bid on large city-wide events.
- Work with Events and Operations teams to plan events from Sales to Closeout with net revenue as a KPI.
Ticketing:
- Provide direction and leadership to the ticketing companies and team.
- Understanding of box office operations (virtual and in person).
- Oversight of customer service plans and processes.
- Support the settlement process including cash handling, security, ticket process and procedures.
- Support the high standards of ticketing manager, team and excellent customer resolution service.
What you will bring along:
- 7-10 years of industry experience in an upper management or executive level.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in area event / hospitality Sales.
- 5 years of leadership experience including supervising, coaching, mentoring and leading successful teams in a positive and supportive environment.
- Knowledge in ticketing systems and processes.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience in Arena, Convention, Stadium and Campus Sales and ticketing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and articulate ideas.
- High EQ and interpersonal skills.

Work location and hours:
This position can be performed through a mix of on-site and remote work in Denver, Colorado.
Compensation range: The starting salary is $130,000 - $145,000 with additional compensation plan.

The brand-new Stockyards Event Center is a multipurpose space with two arenas, ample parking and views of the Rocky Mountains and the Denver skyline. An outdoor plaza connects it to 20 acres of hardscaped yards for outdoor concerts, festivals, large equipment trade shows, sporting events, drive-in movies and more. The center is just two miles from downtown Denver and adjacent to the RiNo Art District, with easy access from Denver International Airport via I-70. Home to CSU Spur and the National Western Stock Show, the National Western Center is an emerging urban hub for food and agriculture discovery.
In 2018, the campus partners created the National Western Center Authority, a nonprofit organization responsible for operating, maintaining, programming, and promoting the National Western Center. The Authority is the primary entity responsible for ensuring the National Western Center achieves its mission. It is also responsible for developing a community investment fund benefiting the residents of the Globeville, Elyria and Swansea neighborhoods in which the campus is located. The Authority’s work is well underway in preparation for buildings being completed and the larger campus opening to the public. The Authority is guided by a 13-member board of directors. The Authority is doing business as (DBA) the National Western Center.
