As we continue to grow, we’re committed to becoming a data-driven organization that empowers our teams with actionable insights and advanced analytics tools. We’re looking for a passionate Business Intelligence Product Manager to join our team and lead the deployment of analytical tools that drive decision-making and enhance user experiences.

Role Overview

The Business Intelligence Product Manager will own the strategy, development, and implementation of data tools across our business, including reporting tools, predictive analytics, and integrated operational dashboards. This is a true hybrid product/technical role. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, user-focused individual that possesses both product and analytical expertise. They go beyond just creating data visualizations and aim to understand what the data means in the broader business context and seek the best way to provide data for the end user. They will play a key role in embedding data-driven decision-making into the fabric of our company.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy & Roadmap:
    • Develop and maintain a roadmap for our data initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives and stakeholder needs.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance decision-making through new and existing data tools and content.
    • Define and monitor KPIs for the success of data usage and track progress.
    • Promote a data-driven culture within the organization by encouraging teams to rely on insights and analytics for decision-making and problem-solving
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Partner with teams across the company, including department leads, engineers, and end-users, to understand needs and pain points.
    • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring usability and scalability.
  • Data Product Development:
    • Design and prioritize features for data integration across the business, including dashboards, alerts, and predictive analytics tools.
    • Integrate visualizations and reporting tools into operational systems to enhance accessibility and user experience.
    • Work with data and engineering teams to develop and deploy interactive and real-time reporting solutions.
    • Gather, clean, and analyze data from internal systems and external market data to identify trends, opportunities, and insights.
    • Provide actionable insights to guide business and operational decisions, helping the team prioritize projects that will have the greatest impact on business outcomes.
  • Predictive Analytics & Automation:
    • Collaborate with the business team to define and deploy potential uses for predictive models (e.g., scoring systems and market trend analysis).
    • Ensure predictive insights are actionable and embedded in operational workflows.
  • Data Governance & Efficiency:
    • Advocate for data quality, reducing duplication, and simplifying reporting processes and our ecosystems of content and tools.
    • Promote the adoption of best practices for data usage across teams.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, and/or proven equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data product management, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated hands-on, technical experience gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, business intelligence tools (e.g., AWS QuickSight preferred, or Tableau/Power BI), and data visualization best practices.
  • Familiarity with ETL, data pipelines, and data engineering processes.
  • Technical proficiency in SQL and understanding of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Redshift, Snowflake).
  • Ability to manage technical projects and collaborate with engineering teams on data pipelines and integrations.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a user-centric mindset.
  • Ability to distill complex data insights into clear, compelling stories that are easily understood by non-technical stakeholders. Skilled at presenting findings in an engaging way that drives action.
  • Self-starter who is eager to create/improve data products for the end user.
  • Stakeholder management abilities, and the ability to communicate with colleagues at every level of the organization.
  • Proven ability to prioritize work and manage competing demands.
