Come join our growing, dynamic team and become part of the JPV family! Joseph Phelps Vineyards is currently seeking full-time Wine Educators to provide memorable brand experiences for our guests by delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct guided tastings of Joseph Phelps wines with guests of varying levels of wine knowledge and interest.
• Conduct winery tours to provide guests with an understanding of the entire wine-making process and history of Joseph Phelps Vineyards.
• Create and manage wine events for both small and large groups on and off-site.
• Attend a variety of off-site trade and consumer events, representing Joseph Phelps Vineyards and its wines.
• Develop and update educational materials, including tasting notes, educational brochures, and training manuals.
• Assist with hospitality procedures such as setting up and breaking down for tastings, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and monitoring inventory.
• Collaborate with the hospitality team to ensure excellent service is provided to all guests and that their needs are met.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of wine industry experience with a strong emphasis on hospitality, wine education, and/or customer service.
• Knowledgeable about wine regions, varietals, and winemaking techniques.
• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on hospitality and customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

$24-$28 plus commissions and gratuities
