SUMMARY

the Warehouse Team Leader directs the daily activities of Warehouse Associates involved in the Receiving, Picking, Packing, Releasing of products and Inventory control activities. He / she is always on the ground to monitor and evaluate the performance of Associates and ensure that the operations are smooth and meeting customer’s expectations. He/she uses his/her expertise to assign each Associate to specific tasks based on the specialization for maximum output. He / she ensures that the work environment is healthy and conducive for Associates to carry out their duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Assists warehouse Supervisors with development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by warehouse team.
• Supervises all receiving, picking, packing and releasing activities performed by warehouse team; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on warehouse floor throughout the shift.
• Reviews, prioritizes, and organizes all orders within scope.
• Forecasts daily / weekly / monthly crewing needs to meet peak demands of the business and coordinate with Supervisor to staff team accordingly.
• Leads by example and trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines crew being supervised
• Supervises transactions in Warehouse Management system (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory management.
• Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other department throughout the company.
• Coordinates with the warehouse Superior to manage personnel issues and requests.
• Make available all work related records such as attendance and efficiency performance to management
• Performs administrative tasks as necessary.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations, train new Associates.
• Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for the crew.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Supervises up to 15 warehouse employees

• Give Associates detailed feedback on their level of performance, coach and train Associates to improve performance.
• Leads crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• Strong inventory control skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in leading and motivating subordinates
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
