Full Job Description
The Video Editor helps shape Square Enix game brand identity by creating compelling video content to contribute to diverse marketing campaigns across digital, retail, social, and owned media channels. They’ll also play a crucial role in managing post-launch campaign updates, executing bespoke initiatives between major marketing beats, and maintaining the database of creative video assets. They will deliver video projects that are exceptional creatively and impeccable technically, while challenging the status-quo and pushing the creative boundaries of video production.
- Manage game editorial videos from pre- to post-production, with a strong command of commercial, narrative, mini-doc, gameplay, and social video production.
- Develop compelling video content for brand visual ID.
- Develop compelling video content for campaign toolkit in Creative Development.
- Develop compelling video content that aligns with vision and planning for major marketing campaigns (Announce, Pre-Order, Demo, Launch and Post-Launch).
- Develop compelling video content for one-off bespoke initiatives between major marketing beats to drive engagement and retention.
- Ensure the highest quality standards for video production, including color grading, audio editing, and visual effects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing techniques and software.
- Contribute creative ideas and concepts to enhance the overall storytelling and visual impact of video content.
- Performance measures: Time to create assets, level of rework, quality of editorial, consistency of timely delivery, adherence to brand expression principles, quality of collaboration and interpersonal communication, personal time management, and technical proficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing, with proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Comfortable animating with After Effects, mixing with Adobe Audition (or Pro Tools), and color with Adobe CC (or Davinci).
- Proficient music editor and sound designer with an intimate understanding of the emotional power and structure of music.
- Familiar with gameplay capture techniques, software, and best practices.
- Experience directing and/or first-hand color grading.
- Experienced short-form content promo and trailer storyteller, with an amazing demo reel.
- Strong understanding of branding and visual identity principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000
