Video & Audio Data IO Operator (Swing Shift)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 4pm-12:30am

Rate: $21-23/hr

The video and audio data IO operator will be responsible for checking specification requirements on all incoming videos.  Primary responsibilities include:

• Downloading/copying assets

• Prequalifying and transcoding assets

• Asset version control
• Ingesting assets into various systems and communication with Project Managers and Coordinators
• General proficiency in video types, SMPTE timecode, frame rates, codecs, and various video or audio file types is expected
• Attention to detail, excellent time management and a perfectionist mind-set is paramount in this role

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or equivalent trade specific education
• 2+ years in audio post-production or media service projects for film and tv
• Non-linear video workstation editor skills
• Some basic Pro Tools experience
• Excel and other MS Office application software
• Excellent communication skills over phone and email
• Deep sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with self-direction
• Problem solver with creative and innovative approach and ability to think out of the box
• Outstanding attention to detail

Preferred

• Strong skills with Mac OS and Microsoft Office Suite 
• Familiarity with other media applications such as Adobe Suite and Final Cut Pro

Physical Requirements

• Ability to continuously sit in an office chair
• Ability to operate and work in front of a computer in an audio room setting
