Overview:
The Vice President of ISP Sales is a visionary and results-driven leader responsible for driving growth in the ISP market with a strong focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 ISPs. This role requires a deep understanding of the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) landscape, complemented by knowledge of PON (Passive Optical Network) technologies, and the ability to define and execute strategic initiatives to capture market share. The VP will lead a national sales team, shape go-to-market strategies, and build enduring relationships with major ISP accounts to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 ISPs with a strong emphasis on CPE technologies.
  • Set strategic goals and objectives for the ISP sales team to drive consistent revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Identify growth opportunities within key ISP accounts, leveraging deep industry knowledge and market trends.
  • Develop and communicate a strategic framework that aligns with the organization’s overall objectives and focuses on profitable growth.

Account Management Excellence:

  • Lead account management strategies to foster deep, strategic relationships with accounts.
  • Create focused go-to-market (GTM) plans, leveraging market intelligence to identify and secure new opportunities.
  • Drive engagement across sales, product management, and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive account management execution.
  • Oversee the development of a robust and scalable pipeline process, ensuring growth across both direct and indirect sales channels.

New Business Development:

  • Proactively identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the ISP market.
  • Lead the team in executing structured selling methodologies, ensuring disciplined opportunity management and a predictable, high-quality pipeline.
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with market needs and customer requirements.

Organizational Growth and Scalability:

  • Build and develop a high-performing national sales organization capable of scaling to meet business demands.
  • Analyze key business drivers, market trends, and competitive dynamics to prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Create and implement a framework for internal and external account management metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Operational Excellence:

  • Drive a culture of sales effectiveness and operational excellence by leveraging enablement tools, systems, and structured methodologies.
  • Ensure consistent governance, discipline, and utilization of sales processes and tools to improve efficiency and results.
  • Lead the adoption of account management best practices, fostering collaboration and accountability across the sales organization.

Market and Industry Expertise:

  • Stay informed of trends and advancements in CPE, PON and broader ISP technologies.
  • Provide guidance to product management and development teams, ensuring offerings align with market demands and customer needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings, solidifying its position as a trusted partner within the ISP market.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record in the ISP market.
    • Deep knowledge and proven expertise in CPE technologies and the ISP ecosystem. PON experience is a plus.
    • Demonstrated success leading national sales teams, achieving ambitious revenue goals, and scaling organizations for growth.
    • Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
    • Exceptional ability to analyze market trends and translate them into actionable sales strategies.
    • Proficient in CRM tools, sales enablement systems, and KPI-driven decision-making.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
