About the Role:
On of our key clients is seeking a visionary and experienced VP of Engineering to lead and oversee the software engineering department of a forward-thinking healthcare technology company. Our product offering includes a cutting-edge digital care companion and enablement platform designed to address the growing needs of the aging population and the desire for patients to age and be cared for at home. This role requires both strong leadership and hands-on technical expertise to drive our engineering efforts, making a significant impact in the healthcare space.

Requirements

Vice President of Engineering, Responsibilities:

  • Department Leadership: Oversee all aspects of the software engineering department, including team management, strategic direction, and technical oversight.
  • Technical Vision: Develop and implement a forward-looking technical strategy that aligns with the company's goals.
  • Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with product management to ensure the successful development and delivery of software products that meet market needs and customer expectations.
  • Process Optimization: Establish and enhance engineering processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI, Hardware, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the engineering budget to ensure resources are effectively allocated to meet project goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a VP of Engineering, overseeing a software department.
  • Strong background in software development and engineering management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A collaborative attitude is essential.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in-office in Sunnyvale or Los Angeles is strongly preferred.
