Artisan Pacific Travel was founded in 2014 by Chris Huse by and Gary Lane with a singular purpose – to delight our customers by delivering world-class experiences, adventures, and the best food and drink on the planet. We love adventure, learning about different cultures, and lots of laughing. And travel has always been in our bones. Chris first traveled to Japan at 12 and was enthralled by its uniqueness; in college, he co-founded and ran an unlicensed hostel in Paris, France. Gary was hooked on travel after his first trip to Spain where he taught English, ran with the bulls, and then guided students across West and Eastern Europe. After finishing his University studies, he circled the Pacific and ultimately took a job in Tokyo at 30. Both Chris and Gary have traveled extensively for work and for pleasure, learning what makes trips anywhere from humdrum to exhilarating. The very best trips have great itineraries, adventures, and interactions with locals. And with deep knowledge of our destinations, we can deliver a great experience in unparalleled locations. We also love being outdoors. That’s why our trips are heavy on adventures and active hands-on experiences – golfing, hiking, skiing – in the most picturesque surroundings

What we are looking for:

Artisan Pacific Travel is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Travel Agent to join our team. As a leading leisure travel agency, we specialize in providing unique and unforgettable travel experiences to our clients. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about travel and has excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to create tailored itineraries based on clients' preferences and interests.

As a Travel Agent, you will be responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking their dream vacations. You will provide expert advice on destinations, accommodations, attractions, and transportation options, ensuring that each client's trip exceeds their expectations. This role requires a deep knowledge of global travel trends, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to determine their travel preferences, budget, and any specific requirements
• Research and recommend destinations, accommodations, and attractions based on clients' needs and interests
• Book flights, accommodations, and transportation for clients
• Arrange and manage travel itineraries, including tours, activities, and meals
• Ensure all travel arrangements comply with relevant regulations and guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the entire travel planning process
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and destination information

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field is preferred
• Proven work experience as a Travel Agent or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of popular travel destinations and attractions
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in travel booking software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-oriented approach and ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
