Position Overview:
The Transportation Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing a fleet of DOT drivers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This role requires a Class A license and involves equipment maintenance, creating routes in Samsara, coordinating deliveries, monitoring routes, communicating with drivers, handling changes, maintaining records, resolving issues, and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Class A license and have knowledge in Equipment Maintenance, oversee the maintenance and repair of transportation equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Create Routes in Samsara: Develop and optimize delivery routes using the Samsara fleet management system.
- Ensure that goods arrive at their destination on time and in good condition.
- Proficiency in record keeping and inventory management. Track the status and location of shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Effective Communicate with Drivers: Provide drivers with necessary information about routes, traffic conditions, and delivery instructions.
- Strong ability in manage changes or cancellations for Uniuni Fleet in delivery schedules and adjust plans as necessary.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory levels to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Maintain good relationships with customers and address their inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
