Our client a well-established CPA firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of tax planning, compliance, and audit representation for a wide range of individual and business clients. - Tax Planning: Analyze client business operations and advise on entity structures (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp) to optimize tax efficiency. Provide strategic counsel on charitable contributions and income/expense timing.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for both individuals and businesses. Manage foreign asset disclosures (e.g., FinCen Form 114, Form 8938) and guide clients through complex international tax requirements.
- Audit Representation: Represent clients during tax audits, acting as the key point of contact with taxing authorities and ensuring accurate documentation to minimize penalties.
- Leadership: Manage and mentor junior staff, ensure deadlines and client expectations are met, and foster a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA): Must have an active CPA license.
- Tax Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and compliance, with prior experience in a CPA firm.
- Expertise in Tax Laws: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax regulations. Experience with disclosures for foreign assets and transactions is highly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop teams while handling multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, tax authorities, and team members.
