Are you a driven and detail-oriented Tax Associate looking to take your career to the next level? Our client is seeking a skilled Tax Associate to join a dynamic team. As part of a well-established CPA firm, you’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse and complex tax planning, compliance, and audit representation services.

What You'll Do:

  • Tax Planning: Advise clients on charitable contributions, including donor advised funds and private foundations. Analyze business operations to determine the most tax-efficient entity structure (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp). Review tax rates to optimize the timing of income and deductions. Help clients project tax liabilities and manage cash flows for both personal and business needs.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses. Assist in the preparation of foreign asset disclosures and transactions, including key forms like FinCen Form 114, Form 8938, Form 5471, Form 5472, and more. Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
  • Audit Representation: Act as the liaison between clients and tax authorities. Represent clients’ interests during audits and minimize penalties by preparing and presenting thorough documentation of deductions.

Requirements

  • CPA License: Active CPA license required.
  • Tax Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and preparation, preferably within a CPA firm.
  • Knowledge of Tax Forms: Familiarity with foreign asset disclosures and international tax requirements is highly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to interact with clients, tax authorities, and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and compliance in tax documentation and filings.
