We have a current opening for a Talent Coordinator in our Sacramento, CA office.
The Coordinator will be a cornerstone to the Talent Team; supporting our recruiting efforts, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into our company, and helping manage the logistics that come along with those functions.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
Recruiting Support
- Job Posting & Maintenance
- Manage job postings across multiple platforms, including posting, removing, and tracking job listings.
- Track recruitment metrics and keep tabs on candidate flow.
- Perform candidate “knockout” reviews for initial screenings.
- Referral Tracking & Sourcing
- Source candidates via internal and external databases and conduct market research to expand candidate pools.
- Entry-Level Pipeline Development
- Conduct interviews and assessments for open and entry-level roles.
- Maintain touch-points with entry-level talent pipelines, including apprentices, ETs, and prefab techs.
- Job Fair & Outreach Support
- Research and sign up for job fairs, coordinate event logistics, and support on-site execution.
- Coordinate WECA (Western Electrical Contractors Association) interviews.
New Hire Coordination
- Onboarding Essentials
- Prepare nameplates, set up credit cards, arrange vehicle reservations, and finalize new hire paperwork.
- Conduct reference checks and flag any poor responses.
- Schedule drug screening, background checks, and MVR setups.
- New Hire Communication
- Capture new hire photos, draft welcome write-ups, and ensure ID cards are issued.
- Ensure all documentation is completed, followed up on, and closed out.
Logistics Support
- Phone Screen & Interview Scheduling
- Schedule phone screens and interviews, coordinate participants, and prepare materials.
- Event Logistics
- Oversee job fair logistics, including swag, banners, table covers, attendee coordination, and candidate follow-up.
- Track event candidates and upload resumes, maintaining communication throughout the process.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years in a recruiting, HR, or administrative role; high-volume recruiting experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and ATS systems
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; professional interaction with candidates and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Customer Focus: Candidate-first approach with a commitment to a positive candidate experience.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Collaborative and effective in team settings.
Special Considerations:
- Spanish speaking a plus
Salary Range:
- $20/hour - $25.00/hour
- This position is hourly/non-exempt
