About the Job:
The Information and Technology Services department is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with a specialized focus on cybersecurity and strong attention to detail. This role supports organization-wide systems through automation and adhering to best practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to cybersecurity through implementation of industry standards, performing vulnerability assessments, and proactively addressing potential threats.
What You’ll Do:
1. Supports all the enterprise applications, hardware, software and manages a mixed environment of Microsoft, VMWare, and vendor appliance solutions; maintains remote systems and vendor relationships with offsite cloud service provider; leverages automation for task execution; maximizes capacity and resiliency; applies operating system patches, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation according to cyber security best practices.
2. Oversee Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022) and manage core systems like Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, MDM, O365, AWS services (including EC2), and cloud-hosted systems. Configure and maintain VMware platforms (Vsphere, VCenter, ESXi) and Dell VxRail solutions to ensure stability and performance.
3. Support and administer third-party software including Force Point, SolarWinds for network monitoring, Barracuda (spam filtering and WAF), and Infoblox for DNS management.
4. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system hardware and software issues. Drive efficiency and accuracy by creating and leveraging automation scripts and tools. Develop and execute disaster recovery plans, maintaining local, off-site, and immutable backups to ensure data integrity, and verifies the completion of scheduled nightly backup jobs.
5. Maintain enterprise-grade cyber security solutions, including antivirus, anti-malware, web content filters, multifactor authentication, email filters, and encryption tools. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and compliance audits.
6. Monitors and analyzes the performance of systems, verifies integrity and availability of all server resources, systems, and key processes; analyzes systems capacity, configures and supports systems.
7. Follows system administrator procedures and documentation for managing operating systems and host-based applications; maintains Active Directory group policies, user accounts, profiles, and access privileges; manage Microsoft Intune and Azure AD, creates virtual private network accounts for external access; maintains the internal certificate authority, external SSL certificates, and DNS records; participates in a rotating 24x7 On-Call schedule for critical systems; performs related duties as assigned.
8. Work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver reliable system performance and effective solutions.
9. Regularly operate and drive an Authority vehicle to service information technology equipment and transport information technology gear in support of maintaining and servicing various rack rooms on the airside and landside throughout the Authority campus.

5. Project Coordination: Ability to determine appropriate measures to achieve project goals and prioritize the measures; able to fully engage project participants to deliver an acceptable result in the time allocated.
6. Relationship & Interpersonal Skills: Cultivates interpersonal rapport and trust, both up and down, by exhibiting consistency and reliability; demonstrates awareness of others’ needs.
7. Leveraging Technology: Proficient in wired, wireless, local and area wide network systems.
Requirements
The Experience You Need to Have**:
- Associate degree in computer science, management information systems or a closely related field.
- One year of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology and associated systems, networking, or security systems.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Authority’s vehicle insurance policy.
Preferred Education, Certification, and Licenses:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cyber Security (CySA+), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
