Overview
The SVP Loan Documentation Manager is responsible for management of the bank’s Loan Documentation functions. The manager helps direct the department staff and takes responsibility for all documentation preparation, validation, accuracy and timeliness of documentation for all loan types. Assures adherence to legal, regulatory and bank policies and procedures and that proper risk, audit and compliance controls are in place and functioning.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Provides supervision and directs the activities of Loan Documentation employees; performs supervisory tasks such as candidate interviews, performance appraisals and disciplinary actions; develop work schedules; provide training and coaching.
· Oversees all aspects of the documentation process including preparation, validation, accuracy and adherence to service standards.
· Assures adherence to legal, regulatory and bank policies and procedures, ensuring proper risk, audit and compliance controls are in place and functioning.
· Oversee adverse action processing including maintenance of logs and records related to the process.
· Manage and maintains records as required by all regulations, including Fair Credit Reporting and Regulation B to assure the bank is in compliance at all times.
· Ensures documented files are complete including applicable flood determinations, UCC searches and insurance coverage.
· Oversees the post-closing documentation tickler system to assure receipt of original recorded documents and final title policies.
· Researches compliance requirements and implement new products based on Bank’s strategic direction.
· Generates weekly and monthly document production reports.
· Assists with audit and regulatory examination preparation.
· Responsible for maintaining and updating Lending Index Rates on Laser Pro Documentation software.
· Provides guidance and training to department staff and ensuring staff’s compliance training is up to date.
Requirements
Education/Certification:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred. Relevant & equivalent work experience in lieu of a college degree will be considered High school graduate or equivalent. Additional college coursework preferred.
Required Knowledge:
· Strong understanding of the documentation, compliance and regulatory requirements of a broad range of commercial bank lending products, including unsecured commercial, secured commercial real estate, construction, Letter of Credit and Small Business Administration enhanced lending, as well as certain commercial lending products, including Home Equity Loans.
· Knowledge of SBA lending and documentation requirements.
· Knowledge of bank accounting as it pertains to loan accounting.
· Strong knowledge of Commercial and Commercial Real Estate lending policies, practices, collection programs, and procedures.
· Strong knowledge of related state and federal loan regulations and other bank lending policies.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel
Experience Required:
· Prior 4 years note department management experience.
· Experience with the Fiserv ITI core operating system for banks.
· Experience with Laser Pro documentation preparation program.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $105,682 - $150K Annual Salary
Salary may vary depending on multiple factors including but not limited to skill level, depth of work experience, education, relevant licenses/credentials, and geographic location.
