Seeking passionate & committed Summer Youth Tennis Coaches in Piedmont!
Earn great pay while leading a fun-filled tennis camp for K-5th kiddos this summer! This position is part-time (15 hours/week) from June 3rd to August 9th. Training is provided.
Do you love working with youth, teaching or playing tennis, and encouraging youth to have fun? As a Summer Youth Tennis Coach with ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars), you'll co-lead our 2024 summer tennis camp in Piedmont, CA. Your mission will be to make summer tennis camp magical for a youth ages 5-11. ANTS summer camps run for 9 total weeks starting June 3rd.
We provide all necessary training, equipment, and support. Being an ANTS Tennis Coach is a great way to develop leadership skills while serving our local community. And the pay is great!
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Head Coach to establish the week's game-filled curriculum
- Interact positively with parents, teachers, and other camp staff. Conduct the welcome and closing ceremonies each day.
- Show up on time with positive energy and lead a FUN & safe daily summer camp for kids ages 5-11
- Teach the FUNdamentals of tennis through a cohesive and game-filled lesson plan.
- Ensure a safe and reliable program by arriving on time each week on your program day for the entire duration of the camp.
- Set up before and clean up after your program.

2024 Camp Schedule:
- Monday-Friday from 9:30am-12:30pm daily at Hampton Field, Piedmont.
- June 3rd – June 7th
- June 10th – June 14th
- June 17th – June 21st
- June 24th – June 28th
- July 8th – July 12th
- July 15th – July 19th
- July 22nd – July 26th
- July 29th – Aug 2nd
- Aug 5th - Aug 9th
- You must be available for the entire season window:
Requirements
- Transportation: Coaches must have reliable transportation to get to their coaching sites. You may be required to bring equipment to & from class, so a vehicle is very helpful.
- Responsible & professional: Arrive on time to each practice and keep accurate attendance. Interact with parents and school staff positively.
- Communication: You will communicate with ANTS, parents, and site staff through email and phone.
- Enthusiastic & fun: ANTS coaches are positive role models for our students. We expect that you share our deep beliefs in the larger themes we are promoting: sportsmanship, wellness, and positivity.
- Patience: Be a patient person who understands young children & their need to develop at their own pace.
- Experience: Experience as a player or coach (at least 2 years) is highly valuable, though not necessarily required.
- Background check: A successful candidate must pass a Federal & State Background Check and/or FBI Fingerprinting (Livescan) and test negative for TB test (within the last 4 years).
