Full Job Description
Currently seeking certified/registered Alcohol & Drug Counselors to become a part of our Behavioral Health team. Bay Area Community Resources, a non-profit organization, is re-inventing one of our Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs. Registered counselors with relevant experience will be considered.

- Pay: $26-$30/hour (full time), dependent on registration/certification and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified or Registered Alcohol or Drug Counselor or licensed counselor by a State of California Accredited Institution, such as CCAPP or CADPT.
- Must be able to work onsite at a facility
- Previous experience working with the justice-involved population
- Excellent work ethic; full understanding of and adherence to professional, ethical and legal standards
- Must be able to clear Livescan fingerprinting & background check
Preferred:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Computer literate
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate education and treatment groups on site and within the community
- Conduct intakes of new clients and discharges
- Individual care management
- Engagement and retention groups
- Address client issues surrounding topics of substance use and criminal behaviors
