Senior Logistics Claim Analyst (“Sr. Claim Analyst”) will be a part of the Operations Group and work closely with Samsung Electronics America (“SEA”) and its Loss Control Group, as well as the Samsung SDS’s Management/Finance Group. Sr. Claims Analyst will work on tracking and analyzing claim data, including warehouse and transportation, and supporting SEA requests for additional insight regarding claim progress.
The position tracks and reports progress on complex claims with customers, shippers, consignees, and carriers relating to cargo loss incidents. This requires understanding of the logistics and supply chain industry, ability to establish priorities and plan daily tasks accordingly, detailed reporting and analysis, and collaboration with other business units within and outside the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Gather claim data for each person in charge (“PIC”).
- Update accurate claim data in multiple master files (recovery, claim master list, settlement report, etc).
- Analyze claim data to report on claim trends, recovery/claim ratio, and other situational forecasts.
- Provide additional reports as requested by SEA and Management.
- Monitor aging claim status and provide frequent notifications to the team for open claims near 120 days of aging.
- Utilize NERP, SAP, WMP, TMS, and Cello systems to obtain relevant shipment/claim data.
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and forecasted estimates.
- Prioritize and conduct any Ad Hoc reporting and special project requests.
- Design, implement, automate, and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes.
- Performs well under pressure and is able to consistently meet strict deadlines as set by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Accounting, Business, Analytics, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of data analytics experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; people skills; ability to communicate information in a clear and understandable manner
- Ability to read, interpret, and simplify complex information from various sources to create clarity and ease of understanding.
- Strong critical thinking and planning ability; balancing accountabilities; flexibility to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel (PIVOT, VLOOKUP, seasonal index, IF, etc.) and the ability to produce reports to support findings.
- Great attention to detail, organization, cross-group collaboration, and project management skills
- Ability to lead a group towards a common goal and to delegate workload to maximize efficiency.
- Transportation/Logistics Freight claims processing experience preferred.
- Korean Bilingual preferred
- Required to work on-site in Santa Ana, CA
- Work Schedule: In office 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Ability to travel up to 10 % in the U.S.

Your base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows you to progress as you grow and develop within the position. The base pay range for this role is between $40.00 ~ $65.00 per hour, and your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
