Sr. Bioinformatics and Laboratory Systems Scientist

The Senior Bioinformatics and Laboratory Systems Scientist has expertise in bioinformatics, computational biology, and digital pathology, with a strong focus on research and laboratory systems management.

Requirements

• Conduct cutting-edge research in bioinformatics, computational biology, and digital pathology, leveraging large-scale genomic and proteomic data.
• Collaborate with pathologists, biologists, and computational scientists to integrate digital pathology data into our research projects.
• Develop and implement computational algorithms and tools for data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
• Document, analyze, and interpret project-specific data, creating genomics summaries and reports.
• Prepare detailed reports and graphical summaries of data analyses for presentation
• Perform exploratory genetic analysis on genomes to drive biomedical discovery in human disease areas.
• Bridge wet lab protocols with computational analysis, harmonizing data interpretation across different platforms.
• Manage laboratory information systems, ensuring efficient data processing, storage, and compliance with regulatory standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bioinformatics analysis and laboratory systems management.
• Experience implementing and managing laboratory information systems.
• Proven experience with bioinformatics and data analysis.
• Experience with digital pathology data analysis and integration.
• Experience with high-throughput data analysis.
• Strong understanding of laboratory information systems and their role in research.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and Perl.

Salary Range: $164,000 - 192,500
