Full Job Description

Ensure the safe and efficient operation of company 7 passenger vehicle(s).  Follow established guidelines including designated drop off and pickup locations as well as established schedules.  Be aware of guests and abide by traffic rules of the road to ensure a seamless experience for team members and guests.  Provide a shuttle experience reflective of our core values and five-star standards. 

Requirements

· Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the company vehicle(s). 

· Ensures the safe and timely transportation of staff members to designated pick up and drop off areas.

· Fills gas tank daily or as needed.

· Adheres to transportation pick-up and drop-off schedule.

· Maintains the cleanliness of company vehicles, disposing of any trash/dust left on vehicle by passengers.

· Completes daily checklist and log.

· Monitor and immediately report any issues pertaining to the operation, maintenance or breakdown of the vehicle to supervisor.

· Ensures passenger capacity does not exceed vehicle limitations.

· Observe safety and security procedures; reporting potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.

· Remain professional and courteous with demanding or difficult guests or situations, in order, to turn them to the positive.

· Focus on the guest needs remaining calm and courteous.

· Think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions.

· Prioritize, organize and follow up.

· Work well under pressure on any arrivals and/or departures within any given period of time.

· Focus attention on details.

· Ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information.

· Ensure security of guest room access.

· Remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time, standing or sitting.

· Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.

· The management of all reservation calls and inquiries directed to the hotel in a courteous and efficient manner.

· Ensures security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information.

· Ensures that all special guest needs and expectations are met and exceeded.

· Maintains excellent grooming and dress codes for all staff workers.

· Aware and practices safety and emergency procedures of the hotel.

· Use utilities and resources in a responsible manner to control wastage.

· Communicate relevant information to the department, your line manager and across departments, as appropriate.

· Comply with safe working practices, Health and Safety policy and ensure accidents/defects are reported immediately.

· Attend learning and development courses and complete eLearning modules, as required.

· Demonstrate and be a role model of Belmond’s core values of Care, Confidence, Curiosity and Community.

· Coordinate with the Director of HSSE regular maintenance of all company vehicles.

· Maintain the cleanliness of the employee shuttle ensuring that employees ride in a clean vehicle.

· Maintain the parking lots organization and cleanliness.

· Check employee vehicles have Belmond parking stickers. Reporting to security all that don’t comply to Security.

· Ensure employees are parking within designating parking. Reporting to security all that don’t comply to Security.

 

Additional duties for shuttle drivers

Central Service:

·         Ensure that the common areas in central services are clean.

·         Use appropriate disinfectant on common touch points to help stop the spread of viruses.

·         Stock hand sanitizer

·         Ensure that all of the Water bottle refills

·         Restock refrigerator.

Security Base:

·         Cover phones when security officer on patrol.

·         Clean and sanitize equipment (Radios / Keys / Thermometers)

Misc:

·         Verify all team members vehicle have hotel registration stickers.

·         Neighborhood patrol for employees who park in the neighborhood.

·         Miscellaneous tasks as requested

Compensation is $20 per hour.
