About the Role

Eco Outdoor is the premier supplier of architectural flooring, walling and outdoor furniture. This role is a perfect opportunity, for a dynamic, people focused individual who has a passion for hospitality, mentorship and development of people. You will also have a level of involvement across several company functions from sales, training, and support. In many ways, you will be the face of Eco for the Account Management team.

As a Showroom + Sales Team Lead you will be responsible for all daily showroom operations as well as the leadership, coaching and performance of the growing Account Management team in the US.

You’re in charge of creating the Eco in-store retail experience which determines how our consumers feel about shopping with us and how our team feel about working with us.

This is a people focused leadership role, you will lead from the front with best practice and in role performance, imparting your knowledge of product, industry, and technology to improve your teams’ and ultimately the business’ performance. Embedding our company values throughout the organization will also be key to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage our Eco Outdoor showroom and welcome in our trade and retail clients (in person M-F 8am-5pm).
  • Set up the showroom each week with groceries, merchandising, etc. Ensuring it is always a best in class environment and presented to the highest standard.
  • Handle the upkeep, maintenance and improvement of the Showroom, manage any 3rd part contractors as needed.
  • Curate and host client socials/events with our Business Development team. Arranging, product, catering, beverages, etc.
  • Arrange QTR team socials and away days (flights/accommodation for regional teams).
  • Coordinate and source our annual team and client gifting.
  • Mentoring, developing, and reviewing the Account Management Team. Delivering their KPI on a twice-yearly basis and annual performance reviews in conjunction with the VP of Sales
  • Manage, support, and redirect all inbound sales and product enquires to the relevant sales team with your Account Management team
  • Handle all consumer sales of furniture and accessories with your Account Management team
  • Setting up onboarding schedules and structures for new starters, mapping out their 12-month plan and tracking completion.
  • Involved in meeting with and interviewing new Sales team hires.
  • Analysis of data and reporting performance of the team. Spot trends and address successes and shortfalls in performance of the team.
  • Holding team accountable to their performance.
  • ‘Tech champion’. Showcase best practice usage of Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Ensures a strong culture thrives throughout the US team, a champion who leads by example and lives and breaths our values

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 3-5 year’s experience in a Leadership/Sales role.
  • Hospitality background
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Great product, process and industry knowledge.
  • Confidence in leading and developing a team.
  • Experience within a design-related field preferred.
  • A natural interest and flair for design and architecture.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Experience in visual merchandising and product display.
  • Understanding and confidence to talk with senior architects and designers.
  • Willingness to participate and support a dynamic sales team.
