Senior Virtual Production Developer

We are now seeking an accomplished Senior Virtual Production Developer to take the helm of both on-set and remote virtual production support. This hybrid role demands a symbiotic balance of on-set acumen, tool development prowess, and an intricate understanding of virtual production ecosystems.

Your Role:

• Engage in on-set or remote studio sessions, effectively managing Motion Capture and Virtual Camera shoots.
• Champion the strategic planning and development of proprietary production tools.
• Extend existing pipeline functionalities for virtual production through the creation of plugins.
• Streamline the transfer of Art Content from Maya to Unreal Engine, ensuring Real-time readiness.
• Design, iterate, and optimize shader and material graphs across all production phases.
• Spearhead the creation of new workflows and tools to elevate the production experience.

Requirements

What You Bring:

• A seasoned understanding of VFX pipeline development.
• Proven expertise in Virtual Production workflows, encompassing VCam, MoCap, Scanning, and Simulcam.
• Mastery over Version Control systems like Git, Perforce, and SCM.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Unreal Engine's asset and animation dynamics.
• Proficiency in Maya Python libraries and Unreal's debugging and profiling tools.
• Solid grounding in Unreal Blueprint and gameplay system development.

Additional Attributes:

• Practical experience with the Unreal Python API.
• Expertise in Unreal C++ Plugin Creation and Engine Compilation.
• An affinity for character rigging, retargeting, and familiarity with Autodesk Maya 2019 or subsequent versions.
• Knowledge of Qt 5.x, PBR material workflows, and a robust understanding of networking infrastructure.
• An intuitive understanding of on-set etiquette.
