Senior Sustaining Engineer (Safran Passenger Innovations LLC - Brea, CA)

Job Duties:

Serves as primary interface between Customer Support and the Engineering and Manufacturing Teams. Responsible for improving the quality of products and/or procedures. Responsible for driving the Time To Resolution of all engineering related issues. Work with Hardware and Software Engineers to define and continuously improve testing to improve product reliability. Design, purchase and build equipment needed to support testing. Provide system level engineering support and leadership on all priority issues identified by the program and customer support teams. Responsible for driving continuous improvement within all engineering realms, software and hardware quality and identifying the root cause and preventive actions on all company products.

Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering role supporting customers, engineers and manufacturers in the aerospace industry. In lieu of Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, the company will accept 10 years of experience as stated. Stated experience must include: Linux; Debugging complex issues (hardware and software); Root cause analysis; Fault Isolation; Lean methodologies including 8D and/or 5 Why; experience reading and comprehending schematics and wiring diagrams; Log Analysis; Providing Status updates to various stakeholders; Use of Data Visualization tools; Oscilloscope; and Multimeter, fiber optics.

Compensation includes base salary of $139,302 per year to $145,000 per year. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as selected candidate's experience.
