SUMMARY
We are looking for a smart, experienced, and motivated Senior Producer to join our San Diego team.
The Senior Producer is responsible for the management of the company’s content and video production shoots across multiple clients. This person will oversee every step of production, from bidding projects to ensuring excellence throughout production, post-production, and wrapping the project
This is a hybrid work from home/office position (in-office attendance is required on Tuesdays & Thursdays) and the candidate must live near San Diego.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead integrated production for the Shipyard nationwide
- Oversees the development of timelines and ensures milestones are met
- Accountable for overall project financial health, including the development of production staffing hours and budgets for assigned accounts
- Responsible for creating all estimates, scopes and change orders that go out to assigned accounts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with client-level contracts
- Oversee, and lead production workflow, budgets, and output, develop and implement new work processes and procedures to ensure best practices
- Works on full 360 integrated campaigns (photo, print, video, experiential, web, social, paid media)
- Understands production best practices and manages and works with vendors and freelance teams to produce small to large sized integrated productions
- Evaluates creative ideas to ensure they fall within budget and timeline requirements.
- Partners with creative team to provide solutions for making ideas come to life
- Manage client budget effectively to ensure and workflows to maximize efficiency
- Lead and manage any third-party vendors and/or production companies
- Liaise with third parties on contracts, fees, T&Cs etc. including talent, post houses, production teams and other suppliers, and develop partnerships where appropriate
- Manage talent contracts and renegotiations, as needed
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 4+ years minimum experience or equivalent skills, ideally in a creative agency setting
- Proven track record of producing compelling creative both on time and on budget
- Established relationships with industry leaders (Directors, Editors, Composers)
- Experience building and overseeing content budgets that accommodate creative risk while delivering business results over the long term
- 3+ years managing a team of producers (preferably at a digital media publisher, agency, or brand)
- Well-versed in licensing, union talent, and all legal production requirements
- Experience seeing projects from concept through delivery
- Strong leadership skills and enjoy mentoring upcoming talent
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- The overall target range of base compensation for this role is $105,000 - $126,000. Compensation offered will be determined by additional factors such as location and experience.
