Senior LEAN Engineer

Job Description:

DrBalcony, a dynamic and innovative start-up in the civil engineering industry, is seeking a highly motivated Senior LEAN Engineer to drive operational excellence and efficiency across our projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing LEAN methodologies to improve project timelines, reduce waste, and optimize resources while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to identify areas for improvement, enhance workflow processes, and support the continuous improvement culture at DrBalcony. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and LEAN principles, who thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of LEAN processes across multiple civil engineering projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analyze and evaluate current processes, identifying areas of waste and inefficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute improvement plans.
• Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring that LEAN initiatives are yielding tangible results.
• Train and mentor team members on LEAN principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement standardized workflows to improve project delivery times and optimize resource utilization.
• Use data-driven methods to analyze project outcomes and adjust LEAN strategies accordingly.
• Support leadership in driving company-wide initiatives focused on improving overall operational performance.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the civil engineering or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN principles and methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing LEAN initiatives and driving operational improvements.
• Experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in project management software and LEAN tools.
• Black Belt is highly recommended.
