Full Job Description

The Senior Interior Designer will manage projects, collaborate with design teams, vendors, and consultants. This role requires collaboration, proactivity, motivation, and a willingness to learn.

SALARY RANGE: $110,000-$130,000 *Wage may vary with experience, skills, or education

San Francisco, CA (not a remote role, travel required).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with architects and the design team for hotel projects.
  • Create and manage FF&E schedules using Design Spec Software.
  • Ensure contractor quality to maintain hotel standards.
  • Research materials for cost, quality, and functionality.
  • Build professional relationships and monitor hospitality trends.
  • Oversee project lifecycle including PIP and CAPEX projects.
  • Manage design schedules and deliverables.
  • Conduct site inspections, review contractor performance, and manage workflow.
  • Advise on bids, coordinate with procurement for budgeting and purchasing.
  • Write scopes and RFPs, and respond to RFIs.
  • Ensure specifications meet LEED requirements and regulatory codes.
  • Mentor team members and ensure timely communications.

SKILLS TO DEVELOP:

  • Develop construction plans, oversee bidding and contracting.
  • Approve design specifications and manage materials procurement.

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years in design and space planning, Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Expertise in Revit, Sketchup, Auto CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, and hospitality design standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
