About us
At LVIS, our objective is to innovate how neurological diseases are diagnosed and treated through advanced brain network analysis tools. LVIS is a lean team of science researchers, clinical researchers, engineers, and designers from a variety of impressive backgrounds.
The design team was initiated in 2020 and is focused on building the foundation for the first of many planned products. As a Senior UX/UI designer, you will apply principles of design thinking to create intuitive interfaces that directly solve the needs of Physicians and healthcare professionals. We are looking for a motivated designer who thinks deeply about problems, embraces ambiguity and complexity, cares deeply about usability and craftsmanship, works cooperatively with others, and is excited to join a team with ambitious goals for the future of neuro-imaging.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with the Design Lead, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide proven solutions to product requirements.
- Think about user flows and identify potential blockers and gaps.
- Iteratively integrate user feedback and business requirements into design work.
- Prepare artifacts needed for ad-hoc user interviews.
- Help facilitate user interviews and user testing to validate concepts and features.
- Communicate the user experience at various stages with user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed specifications.
- Contribute to the design system.
- Partner with Engineering and QA to ensure high-quality implementation of designs.
- Work closely with the Design Lead to advocate for and improve design processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, or a related field of study.
- 8+ years of professional experience in an individual contributor role on a Product Design team for desktop or mobile Web.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a foundation in Ideation, Interaction, and User Research.
- Hands-on experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, specifications, etc.
- High level of initiative and a “make it work” ethos to successfully bring a product design from conception to launch with minimal supervision.
- Experience building B2B, enterprise, and/or cloud-based commercial products.
- Experience working iteratively within a lean team in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment.
- Proactively seeks and implements feedback from team members.
- Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, or similar tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skilled in visual design and/or responsive design.
- Experience working with overseas teams.
- Experience designing in the healthcare space.
