Senior Commodities Analyst

The Senior Commodities Analyst is responsible for cost optimization (cost-downs) to ensure the financial goals of the company are being met. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of supply chain and/or commodities, with preferred experience in electronics, metals, and cables commodities. Strong accounting and mathematical skills are crucial, along with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive market outlook and competition analysis, forecast validation, pricing and cost reductions.
• Analyze monthly cost data to identify deviations to standards.
• Work with Engineering, Commodity Managers and Procurement to develop cost down strategies.
• Prepare and present cost down strategy to Senior Management.
• Track, monitor and report realized and forecasted PPV.
• Work with Contracts Manager to craft contractual language regarding YOY pricing reductions, rebates, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent experience in a related field
• 6-10 years of experience in a similar role working with budgets, models and cost/PPV analysis
• Previous experience in electronics, metals, and cables commodities highly desired
• Strong understanding of commodities and cost down strategies
• Advanced experience in pricing negotiations
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Strong accounting and mathematical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to identify problems and propose effective solutions
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis

The starting pay range for this position is $112,000 to $144,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, years of experience, job-related knowledge and location.
