Summary:

The Semiconductor Reliability Test Engineer will provide technical support to STS’ Environmental Screening area which includes thermal shock, temperature cycle, acceleration test, PIND test, fine/gross leak, burn-in, HTOL, HAST, CSAM, salt atmosphere, solderability, ESD test,…etc. for a broad range of devices ranging from diodes, inductors, capacitors, transistors, ASIC to microprocessors. Will need to work closely with Sales & Marketing, Program Managers, Engineering, External Customers and Suppliers to ensure compliance of customer’s requirement or Mil-standard.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Define reliability requirements and develop reliability qualification plans for customer assigned components
  • Support Burn-in board development and validation
  • Manage the design and implementation of qualification hard- and software
  • Run the internal qualification tests in our quality lab (e.g., PC, HAST, HTOL, ELFR, TC, EDR, etc.) and manage qualification tests with external partners (e.g. SD, HBM)
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and solve software and hardware for environmental screening/qualification related problems
  • Generate test setup sheet, test reports and data required by customers
  • Electromechanical understanding of components and thermal management techniques.
  • Monitor jobs during stress cycles using data logging routines

Job Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experiences in Semiconductor Reliability Engineering.
  • Bench test and instrumentation testing knowledge and experience a must.
  • Hands-on technical experience in the Military and Aerospace industry is preferred.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to apply knowledge to drive reliability testing
  • Sound mathematic and statistical background
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and thermal failure modes in semiconductor material
  • Experience in failure analysis
  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This position is in an ITAR-registered facility, US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent resident) status is a must.
