Full Job Description
Challenge Financial Services is looking for a Scrum Master to join our dynamic and growing team. As a leading indirect auto finance company in the Southwest region, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. Our privately-held, family-owned business has been in operation since 1994, and we have more than $80,000,000 in outstanding receivables under management.
As the Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the Agile development process and ensuring that our teams are able to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and quality assurance, to plan and execute projects using the Scrum framework.
Responsibilities
- Guide and coach the development team on Agile values, principles, and practices
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog
- Remove impediments and address team conflicts to ensure smooth project execution
- Track and report the team's progress and maintain visibility into their work
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and help the team to identify and implement process improvements
- Support the development team in self-organizing and achieving their goals
Requirements
- Solid experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and ability to apply them in practice
- Familiarity with the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to facilitate collaboration and drive team alignment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proven track record of delivering successful software projects
- Scrum Master certification (e.g., PSM I or CSM) is a plus
