Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day administration and operation of the retirement plans, including contribution/funding reconciliation, distributions, QDRO processing, benefit file coordination and maintenance; analyze, address and implement retirement plan design changes;
- Manage the relationships between firm, participants, consultants, trustee and vendors, as applicable, regarding the retirement plans, plan systems and service valuation; oversee and approve payments for participants as part of retirement process and/or termination process;
- Responsible for providing financial metrics and cost analysis of the retirement plans; collect, verify and provide retirement data to the actuary as needed for computation of benefits, funding requirements, valuations and applicable internal audits; collaborate with accounting and financial reporting to ensure appropriate measurement and reporting of plan assets, liabilities, and funding levels;
- Prepare and/or supervise the drafting and delivery of appropriate educational communications regarding the retirement plans and eligibility criteria as needed for the retirement plans and retiree medical plans; prepare communications and materials necessary to address recommended changes and key issues to the Investment/Retirement Benefit Committee; interpret and explain policies, procedures, and relevant law to current, terminated and retired participants;
- Provide clear and effective counsel to employees, participants, retirees and management, in person and in writing, and answer questions regarding retirement programs and policies;
- Maintain and update the retirement section of the Firm’s portal/website as needed, ensuring that the information is accurate and current;
- Serve as back-up to the Senior Retirement Analyst and assist with other department initiatives as needed;
- Travel as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 7+ years of defined contribution, defined benefit and nonqualified plan administration experience;
- At least 7+ years of human resources, talent management, or accounting experience
- At least 7+ years in a professional services or legal environment (preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations (401k, 415, ERISA);
