Project Expeditor

Motivo is looking to hire a project expeditor. The Project Expeditor (PE) role was developed to help Motivo with purchasing, procurement, and establishing a vendor network. The focus is to be more cost and time efficient in making purchases, procuring hard to find custom and COTS parts, and continuing to build a vendor network through proper evaluation and relationships.

The PE role would also develop the procurement management strategy for projects. Communicates with the contractors or suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and parts. Responsible for intake and quality check for deliveries. Contributes to project level procurement strategy for specific assignments. Assist the engineering team with critical parts procurement or hard to source components.

Requirements

• Work with engineers to make purchases based on RFPs/BOMs
• Develop and secure team buy-in on a procurement strategy for projects during pre-build phases
• Work with the project teams to identify procurement/supply chain risk in the project design phase
• Hold vendors accountable to lead times/deliverables
• Quality Check of received parts
• Verifying purchase requisitions and all needed approvals, clarifying unclear items, recommending alternatives as needed
• Vendor Relations: new vendor set up, contract and NDA review, maintain a preferred vendor list
• Review purchase orders, verifying specifications and price, and obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitutes
• Managing and grouping orders, monitoring status, and expediting
• Verifying receipt of items, ensuring correct orders, and resolving any shipments in error with suppliers
• Authorizing payment for purchases
• Managing purchase/receiving information including input, sorting, filling, quality check, etc
• Other procurement functions as needed

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience building relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Can work dynamically based on the need of the team
• Ability to balance long-term progress with short-term critical efforts
• Has a “get it done” attitude and w desire to see the team be successful

Base Rate Range: $20/hr - $30/hr
Annual profit sharing estimate: $8,320 - $12,480
Salary is dependent on experience, knowledge, and interview performance.
