Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to those transitioning from or at risk of homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. Additionally, we implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veterans’ services, and health care sectors.

PROGRAM SUMMARY
The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) - Project Based program is funded by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS), Housing For Health program and serves individuals experiencing homelessness who have a chronic medical/mental impairment, illness or physical disability. The goal is to transition individuals out of homelessness and into permanent housing to obtain stability in all areas of their lives. Services take place within residential communities for individuals who are experiencing homelessness and eligible for on-site PSH services at a Project Based Voucher community.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Supervisor will directly supervise and provide clinical support for (5) PSH Case Managers and offer monitoring support to (2) Resident Services Coordinators. The Program Supervisor will cultivate the talent of the team to provide high quality support to clients and partners and employ a “whatever it takes” approach to services. The Program Supervisor may also carry a caseload of 1-10 clients dependent on program need.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise (5) Case Managers, which includes weekly or bi-weekly supervision meetings as well as ongoing clinical support and guidance.
- Provide support to site based Resident Services Coordinator.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed and participate in an on-call rotation with other supervisors.
- Periodically travel between site-based projects in region.
- Process and accept referrals from DHS and other HFH partners.
- Conduct assessments to determine clients’ eligibility for the program and evaluate clients’ needs and strengths.
- Develop and implement, in collaboration with clients, individualized case management care plans that identify short and long-term goals.
- Provide support throughout the housing process including but not limited to temporary housing placement, unit identification, application submissions, lease signing, and ongoing housing retention efforts.
- Provide education to clients on tenant rights and responsibilities, eviction prevention counseling and advocacy.
- Meet with clients frequently and regularly, both in the home, community, and office.
- Utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Interventions and Motivational Interviewing, to strategically address clients’ needs.
- Provide life skills education and assistance, including budgeting, apartment upkeep, stress management, conflict resolution, etc.
- Participate in case conferences to review clients’ progress and address any challenges.
- Collaborate and communicate with all HFH partners on a regular basis.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, service providers, public entities (such as local Housing Authority, Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority) and onsite property management to ensure that clients have access to comprehensive services.
- Maintain updated and accurate client files and documentation.
- Offer feedback to supervisees on documentation quality to meet service delivery requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, supervisor meetings, and other agency events as requested.

Requirements
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years of experience providing either direct services in a mental health setting or intensive case management services to vulnerable populations, required.
- Experience working with individuals who have experienced homelessness, preferred.
- Some supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred, ideally in the social services field.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related clinical field preferred, but not required.
- Experience providing crisis intervention, suicide assessment and prevention.
- Knowledge of relevant evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and Trauma-Informed Care.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
- Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility regarding scheduling and prioritizing of tasks.
- Willingness to travel and spend significant time in the field.
- Basic computer knowledge; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Ability to work independently and utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Possession of a valid, clean California driver’s license and a personal insured vehicle are required.
Physical Requirements
Candidates should have physical mobility for tasks such as standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces. They should be capable of performing stationary tasks like sitting for up to 6 to 8 hours a day. Additionally, candidates should be able to lift, carry, push, pull light to moderate weights up to 15 pounds safely. Requires mental acuity for analytical reasoning and document interpretation.
This position is being offered at $70,000 per year.
