Job Title: Customer Program Manager – Semiconductors
Location: Santa Clara, CA, USA (Hybrid Remote)
Compensation: $165,000 – $200,000 per year
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Program Manager to oversee semiconductor switching projects and programs from inception to completion. This pivotal role ensures that all initiatives align with customer requirements and key milestones, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage semiconductor switching projects and programs, ensuring they meet customer specifications and are completed on schedule.
- Customer Engagement: Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and promptly address any concerns or issues.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between customers and engineering teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and fostering seamless execution of new engagements.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement and drive initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Risk and Conflict Management: Identify and mitigate risks, resolve internal and external conflicts, and make strategic delivery trade-offs to maintain project integrity.
- Communication: Develop and deliver impactful presentations and reports that communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to customers, stakeholders, and senior management.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering with 10-15 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in customer project/program management within the semiconductor industry.
- At least 5 years managing multidisciplinary teams, including software and hardware professionals.
- Extensive knowledge (5+ years) in networking and network switch products.
- Skills:
- Proven success in customer engagement and relationship management.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and functions.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and independent, with strong prioritization and multitasking capabilities.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Customer-Facing Program Experience: Demonstrated experience managing programs that involve direct interaction with customers.
- Technical Background: Strong ASIC background within networking equipment, specifically with network switch products.
- Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead end-to-end program initiatives, including strategic projects that involve senior leadership.
- Holistic Customer Experience: Ability to deliver a comprehensive and exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the semiconductor industry is highly preferred.
