Productivity Facilitator - Remote (Pacific Time Zone)

FLOWN is a virtual co-working platform providing focus and connection to remote-working professionals. FLOWN combats distractions and isolation, leveraging the neuroscience of 'body doubling' and joyful experiences to enhance focus and productivity.

The company was founded by Alicia Navarro, a serial entrepreneur with multiple exits behind her (Skimlinks being the biggest), and is backed by some of the top VCs and angels in the startup world.

FLOWN is tackling the two big existential crises we face as humans: our eroded ability to focus in a world of distractions, and our isolation and loneliness, particularly in a post-COVID world of increased remote and hybrid work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

FLOWN’s unique offering includes live and recorded sessions focusing on two key aspects: focusing and recharging.

Flocks

Our flagship product, 'Flocks,' are live focus sessions akin to gym classes for getting work done. Utilizing scientific and psychological techniques, these sessions provide community, connection, and accountability for remote workers. We run Flocks daily across multiple time zones and are looking to expand beyond 5pm Pacific Time & pre-9am UK time.

Recharge

Alongside Flocks, we offer live and on-demand content to help members recharge after intense focus periods. If you have unique skills (creativity boosts, movement, etc.), let us know in your video!

Business Opportunities

FLOWN offers focus sessions for businesses, enhancing employees' productivity and well-being. Facilitators must be able to cater to business audiences while maintaining their unique spark and passion.

Beyond Flocks, we offer 1-1 and group coaching under FLOWN+. If you’re a qualified coach, mentor, or consultant, share your skills to positively impact our community and boost your income.

Building our team

We have a fantastic global team of charismatic facilitators covering time zones from the USA’s West Coast to Eastern Europe. We are looking to expand our team in the PT (USA), AEST (Australia/NZ), & UK/EU time zones.

To be successful, a facilitator will have the gravitas to hold space for a virtual audience of entrepreneurs, academics, and other knowledge workers. They require the skills, passion, and confidence to lead audiences through a range of experiences. We are interested in a diverse pool of talent from various industries and with different styles.

We pay hourly for ad hoc/occasional work, but where there is a strong fit (and as we grow), we will look to put facilitators on monthly retainers. We also pay additional rates for B2B engagements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Here are some of the things you may be responsible for:

• Welcoming audiences and creating a secular ritual space
• Holding professional virtual focus spaces for members
• Holding professional virtual focus spaces for business partnerships
• Guiding each group through the ritualized structure, making it feel professional yet special
• Running virtual sessions smoothly with multimedia elements
• Helping members become more focused, productive, and creative
• Providing 1-1 and group coaching (if qualified)
• Reciting and eventually writing FLOWN meditations (optional)
• Coordinating breakout rooms for intention setting and reflections
• Hosting live Recharge sessions that rejuvenate, replenish, and revitalize members at various points throughout the day
• Recording video content for FLOWN’s platform & social media
• Providing feedback on audience engagement and content improvement

Requirements

We think you’ll need the following to succeed in the role:

Attributes:

• Able to present with gravitas to command virtual audiences
• Driven to help people get more done and feel good doing it
• Strong personal brand that attracts members
• Calm and confident, able to ad-lib and handle unexpected situations
• Passionate about flow state, deep work, and FLOWN’s mission
• Highly tech-savvy with the ability to handle multiple software pieces concurrently in a live performance environment
• Understanding of how to use your voice and body to both engage with audiences and put them at ease

Experience:

• Experience facilitating small & large, live, virtual audiences
• Experience reading smoothly and naturally from a script
• Proficient in Zoom and other presentation tools (sharing sound, managing chat, breakout rooms, security tools)
• Experience holding space for others to engage openly
• Experience working with neurodivergent people and/or an understanding of their challenges
• Coaching experience/qualifications (if appropriate)

• * Mac or MacBook with over 8GB RAM *
• Strong and stable Wi-Fi connection
• A second monitor

• Calm and confident - you know when to ad-lib to get the most out of a session. You aren't thrown if things don't go to plan and always come across as authentic and poised.
